Abstract

The epidemic of Covid-19 has made the "world in danger" of this era face new and far-reaching dangers. In addition to widespread anxiety caused by contracting the disease and disruption in social relations, the actions of governments to curb the spread of Corona, especially social distancing and business closures, have also disrupted the way of life, work and social interactions.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the lived experience of Isfahani citizens in social interaction with corona conditions and it tries to answer the question of what understanding and experience citizens have of facing the corona virus and what have been the consequences of this exposure on their social life?

The current research has used the qualitative method of phenomenology. For this purpose, 30 citizens of Isfahan in different age, occupation and base groups were selected by sampling method with maximum diversity and were subjected to in-depth semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed by using Colaizzi's 7-step method (1978).

The participants' interpretation of the coexistence with the conditions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic shows that the five categories of "lifestyle change", "semantic rethinking", "strengthening social togetherness", "digital culture growth" and "institutional distrust" , the most important experiences of Isfahani citizens have been living in corona conditions.
