The effects of Housing price on marriage in urban arias of IRAN

Abstract

The changes that have taken place in the field of marriage and family, such as other aspects of human social life, are one of the undeniable facts of life in the modern world. The general hypothesis is that a man who has good housing assets has a much better position and chance of marriage than a man who does not have such assets. Our goal in choosing the topic of the upcoming thesis is to help to know some economic and social factors and impression of them for the formation of households, especially young households. These factors are mainly: the real price of housing, expansion of education, unemployment rate, ration of the urban population to the total population of the country and the real gross domestic product. The results of a time series data model during the years 1369 to 1399 using Eviews10 software using the ARDL method show that the variables of the real housing price, unemployment rate and the expansion of education have a negative and significant effect on the marriage rate and ratio The urban population to the total population and real GDP have a positive and significant effect on the marriage rate. Considering that the economic conditions are one of the important factors of marriage in any society, we need to reform the economic structures in order to achieve the optimal marriage rate in any society. Ration the urban population and education are the most effective variables on marriage.
